Academic success is not easy, it requires the combination of many factors, but i think the most important factor is the hardwork and determination of the student.
22 of my students sat for A level H2 math paper in 2022, and yesterday was the release of their results. Many of them scored A for their H2 math, and i am super happy about it.
Among them, i was truly happy for Chloe and Emma.
Chloe joined my class very late, and with really bad results, as bad as like a 20 plus out of 100 , and she only seeked help from me somewhere middle of JC2, we didn’t have much time to drill and relearn concepts, but she was attentive and tried really hard to learn the concepts through the questions which i go through during lessons. i felt very touched by the fact that she did not give up on me ( and herself) even when she scored badly for her school’s prelim, yesterday she delivered the good news of getting her A for her H2 math!
Emma started lesson with me from sec 3 with weak foundation and not so good attitude at the beginning, but fortunately, we kind of get along after a short while, and she started to grow more interest in math, her good natured character also helped, as she will laugh about making silly mistakes instead of drowning in sorrow. i saw her through O levels, where she scored A2 for A and E math, and we continued the journey in JC, things got tougher, as JC life was way more hectic (academically and socially) , even though she was extremely tired during some of our lessons, she persisted, and continued to do her work and endure my drilling and grilling, Yesterday she delivered the good news of scoring an A fof her H2 math! 4 years of effort paid off!
